There are a number of ways in which participants in this e-learning module might communicate with tutors and with one another.
The conference server which, once you have joined it, will allow you to access it from any web browser and:
- discuss ideas with other participants
- upload documents for others to read or to collaborate on their development
- make links to information held on the web so that you can share your information sources
The module mail list
- at the moment the module mail list is an informal distribution list held
on my computer. If it is considered necessary to maintain a list which is
useable by all members of the group we can do it in a number of possible
ways.
- We all join the formal elearning mail list on the college mail list server (Majordomo)
- Anybody who wants to communicate will all of the goup can send their email to me and I will forward it to the group.
- We can use the Conference Server to put up messages and then email everybody to say that they are there.
- In general I would like to use mail as little as possible. Perhaps we should use the conference server so that we all have control over the quantity of information we access. In this case mail messages to the group would be limited to administration matters and would come from tutors only.
