Activity 09 – HCI and usability

The week 4 slides consider human computer interaction and how design can affect the user experience.

  1. Review the slide presentation for week 4, particularly the concepts of proximity, consistency, clarity and simplicity.
  2. Find example URLs that either violate or support these concepts.
  3. Save suitable example of each in your module folder for:
    1. Well designed sites
    2. Poorly designed sites

Add your own reasons for your choice.  Remember to give the full citation so that you can return to the sites when you are working on Assignment 1.

  1. Do your neighbours agree or disagree with your findings? 
    Add to the discussion on Blackboard. 
    Review the URLs suggested by other students in your group. 
    Do you agree/disagree with their reasons? 
    Add an appropriate note.
