Introduction

Important Notes

Please ensure that you attend this session or alternatively that you contact me to discuss your assignment.

In this session we will discuss individual assignments to ensure that they have the potential to satisfy the assignment criteria.

The activities for this session are given below, there are no additional details this week.

Which of these activities you do will depend on how much work you have already done on your assignment. You must do enough by the end of next session so that we can judge that you have a viable project.

Organising your assignment

Please Note

Which of these activities you do will depend on how much work you have already done on your assignment.

You must do enough by the end of this session so that I can judge that you have a viable project.

  1. Establishing your basic ideas

First you will develop your ideas for your web site by making decisions about:

  • your web site topic;
  • your target audience(s);
  • the technologies you want to use;
  1. Planning your project

You will then plan your project in which process you might use:

  • a flow chart of your development process;
  • a set of story boards;
  • a prototype of your basic site;
  1. Building your project

You may then continue/start building your project:

  • You might also work on aspects of the site itself.
  1. Reporting on your project

   blog it

Go to your module blog and make a post

"Activity 1101: Where I am with my assignment "

Finally you are asked to outline how far you are with your assignment so far.

You should go to your module blog and say how much you have done so far.

For example you might answer the following questions:

  • Where are your in establising your basic ideas?
  • How far have you got in planning your project?
  • How far have you got in bulding your project?
  • What technologies do you intend using in your assignment and why?
  • How will your assignment satisfy the assignment criteria and at what level?

These are only examples and you can say what you like as long as you give an update.

P. S. You might also refer back to previous messages on the blog.
