What server should I use?

Important Note updated icon September 24, 2006 Please note that you should make a decision about your server requirements as soon as possible and certainly by the session after Learning Week.

It is likely that the relatively crude presentation area that we have been using on WebCT will not be good enough to display your work adequately however the module wiki may give you the control you need. You could , of course, sign up for your own wiki which would give you 10 Mb of storage.

Alternatively you might want to use an external server that you have used before. This is perfectly in order provided I can access it to see your work and that it you do not use server side technologies. If you wish to use a server of this type please let me know by email.

If you cannot access a server, or you think that there might be some problem with access, then you should put your site onto some form of removable media e.g. CD, floppy and arrange for the starting page file to be called index.html so that I can load your site easily.
