Back with the students again

Today is my third session with my web design group. Today we are going to look at the rudiments of CSS but before that we will be looking at their responses to my blog post about what they learnt last week and what the need to learn. This has shown up considerable scope for peer learning and I want them to appreciate this. After all the whole point about sharing our ideas is to learn from one another.

My post about useful tools seems to have proven useful to at least one student and I am hoping that this sort of post will encourage them to use their blogs and read mine.

Portable Firefox seems to have been a success, a number of students reporting that it has really helped them to coordinate their work in and out of the University.

Just wanted to pop by to say that what you’re doing looks interesting - the approach is fairly subject-transferable too.

I’m curious now as to exactly what instructions etc. you’ve given your students face-to-face too :-) This is actually what I find most interesting I guess - because it’s often what’s happening outside the context of the blogs themselves that shapes what the blogs are like.
